History of the Nargun Union
The Union Parishad was formed in 1983. The land donor of Nargun Union Parishad Bhaban No. 16 donated land for the construction of the building. At that time the chairman of the union was called the village president. During the rule of Pakistan in 1963, the post of Village President was declared as Union Chairman and the late Azgar Ali became the first Village President and Chairman for a long time. Then Mr. Md. Paygam Ali became the Chairman.  Mr. Md. Paygam Ali has been elected as the Chairman since 1996. At present Nargun Union Parishad No. 18 consists of 9 small and big villages.
