Functions of Union Parishad
All functions of 16th Nargun Union Parishad: -----

a. Mandatory functions: -To maintain law and order and assist the administration in this regard. To take various measures to curb crime, disorder and smuggling.

To make recommendations to the Upazila Nirbahi Officer in this regard. 

To encourage the people to maintain and use self-contained toilets and to run campaigns in this regard.

General Functions: - Maintenance and maintenance of roadside ghats. হা Arrangement of lighting at government avenues, open spaces, gardens and playgrounds, roadside ghats and government amenities. Planting and conservation of trees in a normal manner.

7. Maintenance and management of graveyards, public meetings and other public property.

8. Improving healthy business and taking other measures.

9. Regulating the construction and renovation of buildings in the union. 

10.Arranging public festivals.  Helpers for widows, orphans, the poor and the downtrodden.

Ø Improving sports dust.  Arranging for the regulation and protection of cattle.
